Manually Sync Headset Applications

Issue

The Tandem or Tempo application(s) did not update to the latest version on the user's Apprentice-powered headset.

Solution

In order to have Tandem or Tempo updates silently pushed to your device, users must take the following actions:

  1. Download and install the latest version of RealWear firmware on your headset device. For more information, refer to the Upgrading Apprentice-powered Headset article.
  2. Upon downloading, ensure the following is in place:
    • Headset remains at the device's home page
    • Headset remains powered on and plugged into a power source
    • Headset remains connected to the wireless network

If you find the application is still not up to date after an hour, follow the steps below to manually sync the data through the Hub application on the headset device:

  1. Navigate to the headset's home page.
TIP:

To navigate to the headset's home page, say "Navigate Home," or press the textured Action button on the side of the device.

  1. Say the voice commands, "My Programs," then say "Hub."
  2. From the Hub menu, say "Select Item 2," then say "This device."
  3. Say "Page Down," then say "Sync device." The device update may take a few minutes to complete.
